Vacation Time

I did not think this day would come. Yeah vacation time. All the projects at work are complete after months of struggling to meet requirements, dates and everything else that came up. The house is spotless and everyone is packed. I am so ready for some fun with the family. We leave in the morning I will be leaving my cell phone off (yes we could possible get the call but they know we are going to be gone) no computers. It will truly be magical with the girls, hubby and all the Disney characters. The Caribbean or Bust.

Look who is turning "5"

Wow we can hardly believe our little girl is turning "5". It just seems like yesterday when she was placed in our arms and she is now turning "5". Let me tell you she is the most giddy, talkative, outgoing, girly girly you could imagine. To her there is no stranger in her life just God, friends and animals.
This years celebration started off with a Birthday party at a local Bounce House full of inflatable jumping things. The kids had a blast. The parents were all ready for a nap by the end of the day. On her actual birthday she wanted to eat dinner where they sang to her in Italian so we went to Carraba's, we are starting to think this is her favorite restaurant.

Can you say yellow. The party rooms were very feastive.

Vacation

I have the best husband in the world. He surprised us with a Disney Cruise this weekend we will be going in a few weeks. I am so ready for a vacation he said we need to have fun and quit sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. It will ring all in good time but, it the mean time lets have fun with the girls. Last night we had two excited girls that are ready to go. "M" pulled out her suitcase and packed the essentials (stuffed animals, her blanket, and a few toys). She did not need clothes she said she will get some when we get to the boat.

"M" is so excited that her big sis will be coming with her. We don't see "A" as much as we would like but we will take every minute that we get. She will always be a part of our family.

Update on Adoption

Yes, we are still waiting. I must get that question at least 5 times a day so have you heard anything. We hear lots but not a call for our daughter yet. If we were going for "J" we would have already traveled and been home long ago. There was a mix up with our MCC and that has since been resolved so we are just patiently waiting for the phone to ring. I believe it is all in good time, God has his plan and he is in control. I know in the end the wait will have been nothing when we look back but there has been one or two days that have been tuff waiting especially now that we finally finished her room.

Our prayer is that she is safe and she has wonderful caregivers looking after her and giving her the love and help that she needs. This little girl is loved my so many people she does not even know and she has touched so many lives. Everyone is anxious for her to make her appearance and join her forever family.

Fun in the Sun

We decided to take "M" to the beach she has been asking for the longest time to so she can play in a bigger sandbox. So we decided to go with some friends down to St. George Island for the day. The girls all had a great time they wore there daddy's out playing in the water for four hours while Janet and I sat on the beach talked, took pictures and relaxed. It was a fantastic beach day. Now I am hooked we will be going more often with the kids. Janet and Mike used to live on the beach so they are use to going daily but I have to work up to all that sand stuck to me all the time.
Of course after that the kids were hungry so we stopped for some good ole BBQ and ice cream before we headed home. After a long day no one wanted to go home and cook.
